Dary Natury acorn flour is a gluten-free alternative to cereal flour. Compared to them, it is several times richer in potassium, calcium and magnesium, which are key minerals for health. The composition of the flour contains a large amount of B vitamins. It contains very valuable fiber for the functioning of the digestive tract and more than 5% unsaturated fatty acids. Acorns deserve to be called a "super food", i.e. a food product that actively and positively affects the state of human health. They contain extremely useful and balanced proportions of nutrients - a high level of fat and moderate amounts of proteins and carbohydrates. Acorn Dary Natury flour is from organic farming. It has a very pleasant nutty flavor that can become a dominant note in baked goods such as crackers or classic flat bread. It can be used as an enrichment additive to cereal flour in a ratio of 2/3 cereal flour and 1/3 acorn flour for baking bread, rolls, cakes and other products, and also to add to all dishes in which cereal flour is usually added.
With care for nature:
Acorns are a natural food idea. Oak trees do not require extensive cultivation like wheat or corn, and their supply is closely related to the spread of deciduous trees, which are so important for maintaining the biological balance of our planet. Collecting acorns alone does not cause devastation of nature or soil erosion. Processing the acorns (to remove the bitter tannins) into flour is quite labor-intensive, but it is not fundamentally different from the processing of cereals or other crops, for example olives.
What does acorn flour contain and how does it work:
Regarding the vitamin-mineral composition, acorn flour is valuable above all as a good source of B vitamins, vitamin E, magnesium, copper, potassium and iron. More than 60 active antioxidant compounds are found in the acorn core, including catechins, resveratrol, quercetin and gallic acid.
Considering all this, enriching the diet with acorn flour can bring the following health benefits:
• Reduction of diseases of the digestive system, especially constipation, stomach pain, bloating, nausea and diarrhea. This effect is explained by the positive effect of fiber on the intestinal bacterial microflora;
• Prevention of diseases related to the action of free radicals, including type 2 diabetes;
• Lowering blood sugar levels;
• Improving the general condition of the body after exhaustion. This is due to the relatively high caloric content without the presence of sugars and large amounts of saturated fatty acids.
• Reduction of cases of viral and bacterial infections, thanks to the anti-inflammatory effect of individual antioxidants.
