Devdaru is a type of cedar native to the western Himalayas. Its name is derived from the Sanskrit word devadāru, meaning "tree of the gods". The botanical name of this plant is Cedrus deodara, also known as Himalayan cedar. The inner part of the tree is aromatic and is used in Ayurveda.
