Action of the main ingredients:
Azelaic acid is a naturally occurring acid in grains such as barley, wheat and rye. It has strong antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, which makes it effective in the treatment of various skin diseases.
Azelaic acid works by:
- freeing the pores from bacteria that can cause inflammation, rashes or acne;
- reduction of inflammations, so pimples, redness and irritation on the skin becomes less visible;

Apart from acne, azelaic acid is also used for other skin conditions such as hyperpigmentation, rosacea, and to treat skin scars.
