L-tyrosine is an essential amino acid that reduces stress and increases strength and concentration.
L-tyrosine plays a key role in the synthesis of hormones in the brain that affect mood, concentration, focus and memory. Although our body synthesizes tyrosine on its own, the amounts needed by an active person are much larger. For this reason, it is recommended to take 0.5 g to 1.5 g per day as a dietary supplement.
L-tyrosine improves fat metabolism and helps burn fat. L-tyrosine is important for active athletes, as high amounts of the “stress hormone” – cortisol – are released during training. Cortisol, in turn, prevents the increase in muscle mass, fat burning and increases recovery time after training.
