Main product features
-
It contains five main food groups: Proteins, sugars, fatty acids, vitamins and minerals.
Extremely rich in protein: Spirulina contains about 70% high-quality plant protein, which includes 18 types of amino acids, including all essential amino acids necessary for the synthesis of cellular structures and enzymes in the body.
Rich in natural pigments: High in chlorophyll, phycocyanin and carotenoids, which act as powerful antioxidants and aid in detoxification.
-
Source of Vitamin B12: Vitamin B12 is rare among plant foods, but spirulina contains more of it even compared to liver and oysters.
Contains linoleic and gamma-linolenic acid: These essential fatty acids help regulate cholesterol, reduce inflammation, and improve blood circulation.
Alkaline food: Spirulina helps maintain acid-base balance in the body, counteracting the effects of excessive consumption of acidic foods.
-
Improves digestion: Thanks to its natural enzymes and high fiber content, it supports the health of the gastrointestinal tract.
Increases energy and endurance: Suitable for people with an active lifestyle, athletes and those who often feel tired.
Spirulina – One of the most ancient forms of life
Spirulina is a type of cyanobacteria, similar to seaweed, and is among the most ancient organisms on Earth, having existed for more than 3 billion years. It thrives in highly alkaline salt lakes in the subtropical regions of Africa and Latin America. The name "spirulina" comes from the Latin "helix", meaning spiral, due to its characteristic twisted shape.
Due to its extremely rich nutrient content, spirulina is recognized as a “superfood”. It contains all five major groups of nutrients – proteins, carbohydrates, fatty acids, vitamins and minerals. This rich nutritional value makes it suitable for use as part of a balanced diet for modern man, who often suffers from a deficiency of essential nutrients due to an unbalanced diet. Therefore, it is no coincidence that NASA is investigating the possibility of using spirulina as food for astronauts during long-term space missions.
Key active ingredients and their mechanism of action
Phycocyanin – A Powerful Antioxidant with Anti-Inflammatory Effects
Phycocyanin is a powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent that protects cells from oxidative stress and may support the immune system by stimulating the production of white blood cells. It has also been associated with the potential to inhibit the growth of certain types of tumor cells.
Beta-Carotene – A Natural Source of Vitamin A
Beta-carotene, which is abundant in spirulina, is a precursor to vitamin A. It plays an important role in maintaining healthy vision, beautiful skin, and a strong immune system. In addition, beta-carotene protects cells from the damaging effects of free radicals.
B Vitamins – Improving Energy Balance
Spirulina contains a large amount of B vitamins, which are essential for the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins and fats, aiding in the production of energy in the body.
Chlorophyll – Powerful Detoxifier
Chlorophyll, known as the “green blood” of plants, aids in detoxification by binding to heavy metals and facilitating their elimination from the body. It also supports alkaline balance and cleanses the liver.
