Glucosamine + Chondroitin This combination from Jarrow Formulas provides effective amounts of glucosamine sulfate and chondroitin sulfate, combined with vitamin C and manganese to optimize joint health. Glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate are essential components of joint tissue, involved in the production of hyaluronic acid, which is an important component of synovial fluid responsible for lubricating joints and a major component of the connective tissue of the skin.

Vitamin C and Manganese – The role of Vitamin C in collagen formation and connective tissue health is well known. In addition, Vitamin C consumption has been shown to reduce the risk of cartilage loss in people with suboptimal joint function. Manganese is the preferred cofactor for enzymes called glycosyltransferases; these enzymes are required for the synthesis of proteoglycans, which in turn are required for the formation of healthy cartilage and bone.

Recommended intake: 4 capsules daily or as directed by your qualified healthcare professional.
