Haifisch / Shark cartilage is a dietary supplement that contains lyophilized shark cartilage powder with added calcium. The product supports the normal condition of bones and joints. Shark cartilage is used for a variety of health conditions, including arthritis, psoriasis, skin irritations and hard-to-heal wounds, damage to the retina of the eye, and inflammation of the small intestine (enteritis).

Shark cartilage is the tissue that provides support for fins in sharks (Squalus acanthias). It is mainly produced from the fins of sharks caught in the Pacific Ocean.

Shark-derived cartilage is a type of connective tissue composed of mucopolysaccharides (including chondroitin sulfate), protein substances, calcium, sulfur, and collagen.
