Chicory is a herbaceous plant from the Asteraceae family. It is a weed, but the roots used to create this natural alternative to caffeinated coffee are from cultivated plants. Instant chicory coffee is produced using only selected, naturally dried roots. After a particularly delicate roasting process, they are processed using state-of-the-art production technologies into brown instant chicory powder. This special processing preserves the maximum amount of beneficial substances inherent in fresh chicory. Thanks to this, the finished drink has a more pronounced note of bitterness.
