Colostrum is a special and natural milk product - the first breast milk after birth in mammals. Mattisson colostrum powder is obtained from cows within the first 12 hours after calving. The cow produces a universal colostrum that is well accepted by almost all mammals, including humans. The connection between the consumption of colostrum with rejuvenation and an increase in immune defense has been proven many years ago. However, the powder product is officially not suitable for babies and children. The recommended dose for adults is 1 teaspoon (about 3.5 grams) of colostrum powder with water, fruit juice or yogurt 1-3 times a day. Colostrum powder is freeze-dried. This minimizes the degree of spoilage of the product, the loss of nutritional value and biological activity of the components, guaranteeing its shelf life for a period of 12 months or more.
What does beef colostrum contain?
Its molecular structure is almost identical to that of human colostrum. It has almost no milk sugar (lactose) and fat, but contains the necessary vitamins, minerals, whey proteins, amino acids and casein, immunoglobulins, immunomodulators and oligosaccharides, including a large amount of:
- cells of adaptive immunity - lymphocytes, lymphokines and antibodies IgG, IgA, IgD, IgM and IgE;
- cells of innate immunity — lysozyme, lactoferrin, lactoperoxidase, proline-rich PRP polypeptides, transferrin;
- controllers and correctors of the immune system - cytokines, interleukins, interferons, tumor necrosis factors, chemokines;
- more than 12 varieties of growth factors;
- proteolytic enzymes;
- glycoproteins that protect these immune factors from being destroyed in gastric juices.
