Peptan® type II collagen blend
Mattisson's Peptan® Type 2 Collagen Blend is designed to support healthy cartilage. Type 2 collagen is found in cartilage in joints, intervertebral discs, larynx, trachea, ribs and nose. Collagen fibers bind calcium salts, chondroitin and glucosamine and retain them in the tissues. Cartilage collagen contains amino acids such as hydroxyproline and oxylysine, which are essential for the formation of new collagen fibers in cartilage. This increases the strength of the joints and the elasticity of the ligaments, relieves pain during intense sports training or physiotherapy.
Collagen acts as a shock absorber in the human body. It can be produced intensively by the body, but only until the age of 25, if the body has enough essential amino acids, vitamins and minerals.
The ability to produce collagen is reduced during intense exercise, with heavy physical work and with a deficiency of important substances.
The decrease in collagen levels is not felt immediately, as collagen reserves are accumulated in the body. When the reserves begin to be depleted, signs of cartilage aging appear - difficulty in movement, pain and creasing. Over the years, the body produces less and less collagen, but consumes the same amount, so an additional intake of the substance is needed.
What is Mattisson's Peptan® Type 2 Collagen Blend?
Collagen Peptan® II is derived from free-range bovine cartilage. As a result, collagen naturally contains glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), including chondroitin. The product is characterized by high digestibility. Peptan® is a recognized quality brand of collagen peptides. The hydrolyzed form of Peptan® collagens is characterized by purity and very high bioavailability.
Mattisson's formula also contains calcium citrate, magnesium citrate, organic sulfur (MSM), ascorbic acid (vitamin C) and hyaluronic acid. Vitamin C contributes to the formation of collagen for the normal function of bones and cartilage. Calcium promotes bone strength and magnesium is important for normal muscle function. MCM has an important role in the production of collagen and keratin. Collagen provides joint mobility and elasticity and is present in cartilage, tendons, ligaments, bones and skin. Keratin is essential for healthy skin, hair and nails.
