Jasmine oil is a popular home remedy that is believed to have a number of health benefits.

• Antidepressant

There is evidence that aromatherapy can effectively reduce depressive symptoms. A study looking at jasmine essential oil found that, compared to a placebo, jasmine oil increased behavioral arousal.

This includes a significant increase in blood oxygen saturation, respiratory rate, and blood pressure.

Jasmine oil used in aromatherapy massage has been found to be particularly effective.

The effects of inhaling jasmine oil on the central nervous system and mood. When inhaled, jasmine oil affected brain activity and mood state, and participants reported feeling more positive, energetic, and romantic.

• Antiseptic

Jasmine oil, produced from various types of plants, has been found to have antibacterial properties. Its antiseptic effects have been widely studied and have been found to fight a variety of bacteria.

Jasmine oil can be effective in treating and preventing infections when diluted and applied to the skin or used as a rinse for oral infections, such as thrush.

If you're hoping to spice things up in the bedroom with jasmine oil, try dabbing a little of the oil on your neck. The warmth of your body will intensify the scent. You can also add a few drops to your bedding, a warm bath, or a bedroom diffuser.

• Antispasmodic

Jasmine is used as a home remedy to treat spasms in various parts of the body, from stomach cramps that cause cramps to spasmodic coughs.

Method of use:

For aromatherapy. Before use, carefully dilute with oil such as jojoba, grapeseed, olive or almond.
