Mitochondrial Formula from Natural Factors is a unique combination of nutrients to improve mitochondrial function by increasing ATP production while providing intracellular antioxidant protection. Mitochondria are the powerhouses of the cell, consuming 80–90% of the cell's oxygen to produce ATP through the process of oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS). Impaired mitochondrial bioenergetics underlie both the aging process and many chronic cardiovascular, metabolic, and neurological conditions.
Acetyl-L-carnitine transports fatty acids across the mitochondrial membrane, essential for energy generation through fatty acid metabolism. It has been shown to reduce fatigue, neurological and cognitive function, and blood pressure.
The antioxidant CoQ10 is a component of the mitochondrial chain and an essential cofactor in the electron transport system. It has shown clinical benefits in all kinds of conditions, including hypertension and migraine.
ElevATP™ is a blend of phytochemical trace elements - apple extract rich in polyphenols such as rhocyanidins and chlorogenic acid. It has been shown to increase blood ATP levels without increasing reactive oxygen species.
L-glutathione Opitac™ - a patented extract of a special variety of melon, a source of the enzyme L-glutathione and superoxide dismutase. This enzyme is a powerful antioxidant that helps maintain normal cellular function, even when living in a polluted environment, drinking alcohol, smoking, etc. It finds effective use in inflammatory and neurodegenerative conditions, decline in the immune system, accelerated aging of the skin, etc.
