Ultimate ™ Starch & Fat Metabolizer contains white bean extract that helps metabolize glucose and break down fats and carbohydrates. It supports the passage of starchy foods undegraded through the intestinal tract so that they do not turn into sugar. This, in turn, contributes to reducing blood sugar levels after a meal and the number of calories absorbed from food.
The green tea leaf extract in Ultimate ™ Starch & Fat Metabolizer is a concentrated source of antioxidant catechins and epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG), which help counteract cell damage from free radicals. A placebo-controlled study found that daily consumption of green tea extract for three months contributed to an increase in antioxidant status and a reduction in markers of inflammation and oxidative stress in obese and hypertensive patients.
Gymnema sylvestre, also known as Gymnema or "sugar destroyer" in Hindi, is a well-known herb in Ayurveda. It contains many active compounds, including ginemic acids, which help lower blood sugar levels by slowing the absorption of glucose from food and stimulating the secretion of insulin from the pancreas.
Chromium is an essential trace element required for the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats and proteins. Extensive studies have shown that a lack of chromium blocks the action of insulin and glucose levels can begin to rise.
