Glutathione is a small but extremely important molecule made up of three amino acids (glutamic acid, cysteine, and glycine) that is produced naturally in the cells of the human body. It is one of the most powerful intracellular antioxidants and plays a central role in protecting the body from the harmful effects of oxidative stress caused by free radicals, toxins, pollutants, and chronic inflammation.
Glutathione not only neutralizes reactive oxygen species (ROS), but also helps regenerate other antioxidants such as vitamin C and vitamin E, prolonging their action in the body.
