Herbs in their composition and mechanism of action
● Buckthorn (Rhamnus cathartica), known for centuries for its powerful laxative effect. Its active ingredients – anthraquinones, stimulate the walls of the colon, increasing peristalsis and causing soft but effective bowel movements. This function makes it particularly suitable in cases of constipation and delayed digestion.
● Calluna vulgaris, often used in traditional medicine for inflammatory conditions, contains flavonoids and tannins that have antiseptic and diuretic effects. It helps eliminate retained fluids and improves the function of the excretory system.
● Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) adds not only flavor but also powerful antioxidant compounds like rosmarinic acid and carnosol, which support liver function and neutralize free radicals.
● Sage (Salvia triloba) is rich in essential oils and phytoestrogens. It has a beneficial effect on hormonal balance, especially in women, and supports the digestive tract by inhibiting fermentation processes and thus reducing gas formation.
● Senna (Cassia acutifolia) is one of the most well-known natural laxatives, it also contains anthraquinones, which interact with receptors in the intestines and promote their motility without causing addiction when used moderately.
● Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare) has a carminative effect – it reduces bloating, relieves cramps and improves stomach function. Thyme leaves (Thymus sp.) are known for their antiseptic and expectorant properties, while maintaining the balance of intestinal flora.
● Rosehip (Rosa canina) is a rich source of vitamin C and bioflavonoids, which support immunity and facilitate iron absorption.
● Chamomile flowers (Matricaria chamomilla) have a calming effect on the gastrointestinal tract and nervous system.
● Anise (Pimpinella anisum) improves digestion and has antimicrobial properties
● Ginseng root (Panax ginseng) increases energy, mental clarity, and stress resistance.
How tea helps
Many people suffer from chronically slow metabolism, bloating, constipation, fatigue, and a tendency to gain weight. The causes are usually related to poor diet, low physical activity, stress, hormonal imbalances, and the accumulation of toxins in the intestines and liver. These processes often occur slowly, and their accumulation can lead to permanent health problems.
The combination of herbs in the tea works synergistically to maintain the normal function of the digestive and excretory systems. The anthraquinones contained in buckthorn and senna stimulate intestinal peristalsis, accelerate the passage of food residues through the colon and promote regular bowel movements. This is especially important for people with chronic constipation, in whom the deposition of toxins in the intestines can lead to the absorption of harmful substances back into the blood.
The antiseptic properties of the herbs reduce harmful bacteria in the digestive tract, while the fennel and anise help to better break down food and reduce gas. This provides relief from the feeling of heaviness and bloating that is common after a large meal or with a sensitive stomach.
It helps cleanse the kidneys and liver – two main organs responsible for clearing toxins. Rosehip, thanks to its vitamin C and antioxidant content, supports the immune system, while improving the condition of the skin and blood vessels.
Sage and ginseng play an important role in maintaining hormonal balance and energy metabolism. Ginseng stimulates the body's adaptogenic abilities, increasing resistance to physical and mental stress, improving concentration and vitality. This makes the tea suitable for fatigue or after exertion, when the body needs a natural stimulus.
Regular use of the tea creates a feeling of lightness, maintains regular bowel movements and supports overall digestion. By improving the functions of the liver and intestines, the elimination of toxins is facilitated, which can lead to better absorption of nutrients, less water retention and a reduction in body weight. The tea is not aggressive, but with systematic use offers a balanced, gentle effect on the body.
