SanaVita Soluzione Ipertonica , from the Italian company Paladin Pharma, is a 3% hypertonic solution for nebulization, distributed in 30 falcons of 5 ml, without preservatives. It acts through various mechanisms that facilitate the movement of secretions from the respiratory tract, improving breathing. Particularly suitable as a decongestant for colds, stuffy nose, sinusitis, rhinitis, scabies, as well as after nasal surgery.

When nasal passages become clogged with mucus or allergens, it can lead to difficulty breathing and headaches. A 3% hypertonic solution is most effective with its decongestant action and ability to reduce viral load in colds and sinusitis.
It supports the movements of the ciliary cells and thus promotes the secretion of mucus to the outside. The advantages of hypertonic solution are beneficial in the case of nasal congestion with excess infected mucus, characterized by the typical intense yellow color that turns green. A clinical trial concluded that hypertonic saline was more effective in relieving symptoms of nasal congestion than placebo or isotonic saline. Nasal irrigation with 2.3% hypertonic saline with sea salt delivered via an inhalation device was well tolerated and effective in patients with sinonasal symptoms in a real-world clinical setting.
Also, according to a study, the use of hypertonic saline can reduce the duration of the common cold in children by two days.
The research team enrolled 407 children up to the age of six in the study. They were given hypertonic saline solution ~2.6% (salt water).
Children using hypertonic solution had cold symptoms for an average of six days, while those with usual care had symptoms for eight days.
SanaVita Soluzione Ipertonica can be used with any type of nebulizer. Administer 5 ml of solution for inhalation therapy according to the doctor's prescription.
Ingredients: Hypertonic saline solution with a concentration of 3% (3% sodium chloride (NaCl, dissolved in water).
Contains no preservatives.
Note: Do not use in combination with other medications unless prescribed by a doctor. In very sensitive patients, administration should be done under medical supervision, as prior administration of a bronchodilator may be necessary. In case of bronchospasm or prolonged cough, discontinue treatment and consult a doctor. After opening, the ampoule should be used immediately and discarded after use to avoid the risk of contamination and possible infection.
