For Garden of Life to launch an animal protein, the entire system had to be different from other “grass-fed” proteins. We needed a holistic approach to our protein that started on the farm and tracked every metric right to the tub.
While many whey protein products may claim to be “grass-fed,” our research showed that this isn’t really the case. Almost all dairy farms still use animal feed that’s full of soy, corn, and GMOs. Why? There are usually too many cows to feed on grass all year round. Our search ultimately ended in Ireland, with a flock of 4,800 generations of family farmers whose herds are fed only on green pastures.

Sport Certified Grass Fed Whey Protein is designed to fuel and repair muscle. Intense workouts and exercise break down muscle tissue and then the body repairs and rebuilds to make it stronger. One serving delivers 24g of complete protein from whey protein isolate as the primary source with added milk protein to provide some of the beneficial components found only in whole milk, such as immunoglobulins and beneficial growth factors.
Our whey delivers all the essential amino acids and provides 6g of BCAAs and 4g of glutamine, important for reducing recovery time by halting muscle breakdown and promoting muscle repair and rebuilding. Finally, we added 2 billion CFU of clinically studied probiotic B.lactis BL-04, which has been shown to support immune health during intense workouts.
