The dietary supplement of Vitabay® Coenzyme Q 10 complex contains natural plant coenzyme Q 10 and is suitable for compensating its deficiency in the body or as a prophylaxis. The complex is highly dosed and easily absorbed by the body. It is enriched with Bioperine for optimal effect.
Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10), also known as ubiquinone, is a fat-soluble substance that our body naturally produces. Over time, its amount decreases and it is better if we take supplements that contain coenzyme Q10 to maintain enough of its amount in the cells. Foods such as sardines, salmon, tuna and other cold-loving fish, vegetable oils, some fruits and vegetables contain high concentrations of coenzyme Q10.
Function of coenzyme Q10:
Its main function is to be a strong antioxidant and to protect cells from oxidative stress caused by the harmful action of free radicals. In all the cells of our body - whether they are nerve cells, muscle cells or heart cells - there are small powerhouses, so-called mitochondria. In them, the energy we take from carbohydrates, lipids and proteins, along with water, is converted into cellular energy called ATP . Oxygen is needed for this energy conversion - this process of cellular metabolism is also called the respiratory chain . It contains a large number of enzymes and vital substances, such as coenzyme Q10. It plays the role of an enzyme assistant and is of great importance for the work of enzymes.
