Niacin (nicotinic acid, vitamin B3) is a vital water-soluble vitamin from the B-vitamin group that is used by the body to convert carbohydrates into glucose, which the body uses for energy.
Niacin is used to restore its natural levels in the body, reduces low-density lipoprotein or "bad" cholesterol, reduces triglycerides in the blood, increases high-density lipoprotein or "good" cholesterol, which plays an important role in reducing the risk of heart attack in people with elevated levels of "bad" cholesterol and those who have already had a heart attack.
Niacin also helps fight coronary artery atherosclerosis. Niacin deficiency leads to skin diseases, digestive system dysfunction, and nervous system dysfunction.
A significant deficiency of Niacin in the diet leads to the disease "pellagra", where metabolism slows down, tolerance to cold decreases, dermatitis, diarrhea, and dementia are observed.
Directions for use : 1-2 doses daily with food.
