Vitamin C , also known as ascorbic acid, is a water-soluble vitamin that acts as an antioxidant and plays a role in maintaining the health of connective tissue in the body. Vitamin C protects heart health, repairs tissues, boosts immunity and speeds up the absorption of other nutrients in the body.

In nature, vitamin C is mainly found in fruits and vegetables. The lack of this important vitamin can cause "chaos" for health, causing symptoms such as: blood clots, bleeding gums, fatigue, weakened immunity, and in severe cases - scurvy.

Since the body cannot store vitamin C or synthesize it, it is imperative that it be taken in addition. Benefits of vitamin C may include enhanced iron absorption, better immune function, plus a reduced risk of diseases such as gout and heart disease.

Rosehips - Rosehips contain high amounts of vitamin C, while also providing many other beneficial active plant compounds such as phenolics, flavonoids, ellagic acid, lycopene, as well as vitamin E and even some fatty acids. Rose hips have a number of health benefits:
