Maria Treben® Bitterer Schwedentropfen is an herbal mixture for self-preparation of Swedish bitters. It includes ingredients such as angelica root, myrrh (resin extract), common wormwood, dried senna leaves, turmeric (rhizome extract), saffron crocus (stigma extract) and other medicinal plants. The combination of these ingredients is known for its beneficial effects on gastrointestinal, liver and metabolic health.
Swedish bitters are used both for therapeutic purposes for a long period of time, and in accidental situations - after abundant meals or alcohol consumption. It is taken to ease the load on the digestive system. It is usually taken about ten minutes before a meal or after a large meal.

Recommendations for preparation: The Swedish herbal mixture is put in a bottle with a wide neck of 2 liters, add 2 x 0.7 liters of 38% vodka or fruit brandy. Leave in a warm place for 14 days. Shake once a day and strain at the end of the 14 days.
