Chromium is part of the glucose tolerance factor molecule, which is responsible for regulating blood sugar. With a chromium deficiency, the hormone insulin cannot function and this becomes a major factor in insulin resistance, hyperglycemia, hypoglycemia and glycosuria. Vanadium is a trace element found in various foods and helps balance blood sugar levels and insulin resistance.
