Action of the main ingredients :
Silymarin is the active ingredient in sea buckthorn seeds. The chemical compound has a powerful anti-inflammatory and hepatoprotective effect. Silymarin is actually a group of substances called flavonoids (silibinin, silydianin, and silycristin) that are believed to help repair liver cells damaged by alcohol and other toxic substances. It has a membrane-stabilizing and antioxidant effect, promotes the regeneration of hepatocytes, reduces the inflammatory reaction and inhibits fibrogenesis in the liver.
Thiamine reduces the concentration of lipids within the liver, lowers blood sugar levels and increases liver glycogen content.
- N-acetyl-L-cysteine (NAC)
N-acetyl-L-cysteine improves liver function in people with nonalcoholic steatosis. NAC plays an important role in the body's detoxification process and has a powerful antioxidant effect on the entire organism.
Lipoic acid, also known as α-lipoic acid, alpha-lipoic acid and ALA, has a strong antioxidant effect on fatty liver. Prevents degeneration of the liver, supports detoxification and restores its functions. ALA may be necessary in the treatment of patients with liver damage, diabetes mellitus, various types of carcinoma and other diseases.
Dandelion root extract supports liver detoxification. This effect is due to the polysaccharides and other useful substances in its composition. The plant can help with skin and eye problems and relieve symptoms of liver disease.
