Nutritional yeast is produced by high-temperature heat treatment of the yeast Saccharomyces ceresiae. As a result of this method, it becomes inactive, it cannot ferment. The yeast itself is fed on molasses (a sweet medium from sugar cane or sugar beet).
Unlike baker's and brewer's yeast, dry flaked nutritional yeast cannot be used for baking. But it is a tasty and nutritious spice. It has a yellow-orange color, the characteristic aroma of cheese and an aftertaste of nuts.

- beta-glucan (soluble fiber);
- glutathione;
- nucleotides.
Dry yeast does not contain sugar, gluten and dairy products, which makes it popular among vegetarians and vegans, as well as for all those who are forced to limit their consumption of these products for health reasons.

- Headache, Migraine Attacks - Due to tyramine, a compound derived from the amino acid tyrosine, which occurs naturally in nutritional yeast.
- Redness of the skin of the face, burning sensation, itching - occurs after taking a large amount of yeast and is due to niacin, also known as vitamin B3.
- Individual intolerance to yeast.
