Turmeric belongs to the Ginger family and is a herbaceous plant with broad leaves and a pink colored inflorescence.

Due to its unique dietary and medicinal properties , turmeric is one of the most valuable food, medicinal and dye plants of East and South Asia, which has actively entered the culinary and phytotherapy of the modern world.

Turmeric rhizome is rich in phytochemicals of different chemical classes. The main pharmacologically active substances in its composition are the phenolic compounds called curcuminoids I, II and III, and the combination of them and each one individually are called by the general name curcumin .

Each capsule of the product Kurkuma Pure provides an optimal dose of curcuminoids (curcumin) - approximately 90%.

The Kurkuma Pure product of the German company Barbel Drexel contains 100% pure, high-dose, highly bioactive turmeric root extract, patented as Curcugreen .

Curcugreen is a combination of curcumin with turmeric essential oil enriched with 45% Ar-turmerone (active extract of turmeric). It is a patent of Arjuna Natural company.
