L-glutamine – the most abundant amino acid in the human body – is involved in many metabolic processes, including the synthesis and protection of muscle tissue, glycogen production, and the maintenance of immune function during periods of immune and muscle stress.

L-glutamine is also an important source of fuel for enterocytes (gut cells) and thus maintains the integrity of the intestinal mucosa. Glutamine is used not only in the muscles, but also in the metabolism of the immune system, gastrointestinal tract, kidneys, gallbladder, pancreas and liver. Among the amino acids, glutamine uniquely serves as the preferred source of energy for rapidly dividing cells, such as those of the intestinal wall and the lymphatic system.

Recommended intake: 1 capsule 1 or 2 times daily, preferably on an empty stomach or after exercise, or as directed by your qualified healthcare professional.
