Milk thistle has a strong antioxidant effect on the liver. Milk thistle contains silymarin - the main biological component of the plant, which is responsible for its powerful effect.
Blackthorn has the following positive effects:
- Supports the liver in case of excessive alcohol use, medication intake, unhealthy diet, living in a polluted environment;
- A good choice for supplementing the main therapy in cirrhosis, hepatitis, steatosis, etc.
- Aids in cleansing the body of metabolic waste, regulating the functions of the gall bladder. Stimulates secretion of bile juice and enzymes. Helps prevent gallstones.
- Promotes the health of the cardiovascular system, may have a beneficial effect on high cholesterol levels.
- Silymarin, which is the main active ingredient in milk thistle, has a supportive effect on removing toxins from the digestive tract and thus slows down aging. This effect helps to keep the skin smooth and fresh.
- It can be combined well with a diet, with the aim of weight reduction, due to its cleansing properties.
