Propolis is a resin collected by bees from trees that is part of the immune system that trees use to protect against disease. Honey bees collect the resin and mix it with their own secretions and beeswax to form propolis. Bees use it to protect against contamination and germs in the hive. Bee propolis is a great immunostimulator. It increases the number of immune cells, increases the production of antibodies, activates macrophages (increasing the number and destruction of bacteria) and doubles the activity of natural killer cells.
As a supplement, it is an excellent protection against bacterial infections. Its antibacterial properties have been used for colds, flu, sore throats and skin problems.
According to traditional science, thyme is also an excellent immune health booster as it helps fight infections and clears respiratory toxins and fights infections.
