Angelica (Angelica archangelica L.) is a biennial (rarely perennial) herb found in moist, shady places near rivers and streams. It grows mainly in Northern and Central Europe, as well as less often in Bulgaria. It has been used as an herb since the 16th century. The cultivation of angelica in Poland was initiated by monks who planted it in monastery gardens. Currently, the root of the plant is used to maintain the health of the respiratory tract, the digestive system, including the liver, and to improve appetite. The product offered is dried angelica root, organically grown.
