Chinese Vine - a major source of dihydromyricetin
The main active ingredient in DHM 300 is dihydromyricetin (DHM), also called ampelopsin, a natural flavonoid extracted from the leaves of the Chinese vine (Ampelopsis grossedentata). This medicinal vine has been traditionally used in Chinese folk medicine, especially in the Guangxi province, where it is known as "tong cha". It is characterized by an extremely high content of bioactive polyphenols and flavonoids, among which the most significant is dihydromyricetin.
Chinese vine is valued for its ability to protect cells from oxidative damage, reduce inflammation and support liver function. It has a pronounced hepatoprotective effect, which has been confirmed by a number of modern studies. The extract of this plant acts not only as an antioxidant, but also as a stabilizer of liver enzymes, supporting the recovery processes after toxic effects, including alcohol intoxication.
Health benefits of using DHM 300
Liver function support and detoxification
After ingestion, dihydromyricetin is rapidly absorbed into the body and reaches the liver, where it exerts a direct protective effect on hepatocytes – the main functional cells of this organ. DHM activates specific cellular pathways that are responsible for intracellular protection against oxidative damage. Through these mechanisms, the production of endogenous antioxidants such as glutathione and superoxide dismutase (SOD) is stimulated. In addition, DHM suppresses the expression of pro-oxidant enzymes and limits the accumulation of toxic metabolites, especially those associated with alcohol metabolism, such as acetaldehyde.
DHM has been shown to reduce the activity of enzymes responsible for lipogenesis, the process of fat formation in the liver. This prevents and reverses the development of hepatic steatosis (fatty liver), especially in individuals with metabolic syndrome or excessive alcohol consumption. This effect is enhanced by DHM's ability to modulate the signaling pathways - activated protein kinase and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha, which play a key role in fatty acid metabolism and oxidative lipid degradation.
Antioxidant and anti-inflammatory protection
DHM exerts potent antioxidant activity by directly scavenging free radicals and reactive oxygen species, but also by activating intracellular antioxidant mechanisms. It enhances the expression of antioxidant proteins, such as heme oxygenase-1, which maintain cellular integrity and reduce oxidative stress. This leads to stabilization of cell membranes, reduction of lipid peroxidation, and slowing down of cellular aging processes.
Improves metabolic processes
One of the most interesting properties of DHM is its ability to improve glucose homeostasis and lipid metabolism. By activating activated protein kinase, the supplement acts as a metabolic sensor that redirects cellular energy from anabolic (synthesis) to catabolic (breakdown) processes. The result is increased fatty acid oxidation, improved glucose transport into cells, and reduced triglyceride accumulation.
DHM also affects insulin sensitivity by improving the efficiency of insulin receptors and facilitating glucose transport. This leads to better glycemic control, reduced insulin resistance, and prevention of metabolic disorders such as type 2 diabetes. Improved metabolic regulation reduces the burden on the pancreas and maintains the body's overall energy balance.
Supports cardiovascular health
Through its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects, the supplement contributes to the maintenance of healthy endothelial function and the reduction of the risk of atherosclerosis. By suppressing oxidative stress in the vascular endothelium, it prevents damage to blood vessels and inhibits the accumulation of oxidized LDL-cholesterol – a key factor in plaque formation.
DHM has a beneficial effect on blood pressure by relaxing vascular smooth muscle and improving blood flow. The result is better microcirculation, tissue oxygenation and overall cardiovascular resilience. All of these mechanisms work synergistically to keep the heart and vascular system in optimal condition, especially in people with increased oxidative stress, chronic inflammation or risk factors such as smoking and alcohol intake.
